  1. ammunition - objects (bullets) fired from guns or explosive objects (bombs) used in war

  2. chemicals - substances obtained from a chemical process or used to get a chemical result

  3. cyclotron - a device for giving high speeds to charged particles

  4. generate - to bring into existence

  5. heroism - great courage

  6. irrigate - to supply with water by artificial means

  7. manganese - a grayish white, usually hard and brittle, metallic element that resembles iron but is not magnetic

  8. memorials - something that keeps alive the memory of a person or event

  9. physicist - a specialist in a science that deals with matter and energy and their actions upon each other

  10. rallies - a big meeting intended to arouse enthusiasm

  11. rationed - to control the amount one can use

  12. reclamation - the act or process of changing to a desirable condition or state
